Welcome to Elder Nerd Press

This is Elder Nerd Press, a nerd culture commentator blog by freelance journalist Tyler Chancey, also known as The Dice Guru. This site is dedicated to a more measured examination and discussion of various forms of "nerd" art (Comic books, videogames, science fiction, fantasy, tabletop games, etc) and their various places in culture both large and small.

These perspectives and discussions will come from Tyler's deep knowledge and experience covering the videogame industry for over a decade, his own creative endeavors, and his deep passion for how much humanities and the arts can help heal and inspire people.

The namesake comes from how, to various online communities, any expert within nerd spaces are considered "old" while in their late 20s to mid 30s. Since elders are usually bastions of wisdom, this will be taken as a compliment.
